The upper level of the farmhouse has been left intact, honoring the wishes of its current owner, a Montriond native committed to preserving the soul and history of this emblematic site. Even its name, "Aberiot", meaning "watering trough" in the local dialect, pays tribute to the historic path once used to lead cattle to the river for drinking.
