Mountain lovers and ski enthusiasts, get ready for a warm-up session before the official start of the winter season!
Avoriaz will offer partial pre-openings on the weekends of November 29–30 and December 6–7, depending on snow conditions.
Return to the slopes!
Thanks to early-season snowfall and the work of the SERMA lift-operation teams, the Avoriaz ski area may open selected slopes during these pre-opening weekends if conditions allow.
Main season dates:
From Friday, December 12, 2025 to Sunday, April 19, 2026.

Arare area
Lindarets area
Inter-sector connections within the resort

🚡 GONDOLA OF ARDENT
Ideal access to the France–Switzerland Portes du Soleil ski area and to Avoriaz is provided via the 🚡 Ardent gondola lift.
Right next to it, you’ll find the Lac et Montagne Sports ski shop for equipment rental.
Free parking is available on site.
You can also reach the Ardent gondola via the M or M bis shuttle lines, which run close to most accommodations throughout the day. This shuttle service is free and operates year-round, in both summer and winter.
The Ardent gondola also operates during both seasons.
🚡 SUPER MORZINE GONDOLA SKI LIFT
The 🚡 Super Morzine gondola takes you from the footbridge in central Morzine up to Super Morzine, giving access to the Avoriaz slopes and the Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil ski area.
You can get dropped off by the M or M bis shuttle at the Morzine footbridge, which you then simply cross to reach the gondola.
